The Somaphyx Certificate of Teaching Proficiency is a faculty-led, in-person Pilates teacher training program focused on the Mat and Reformer. This isn’t another exercise certification—it’s a movement education designed to develop confident, competent Pilates teachers.
Guided by Somaphyx faculty in an intimate, hands-on setting, this program equips you with a deep understanding of traditional Pilates, movement science, and class design—backed by real-time mentorship, expert seminars, and an integrated system of support.

A structured path from study to certification.
Curriculum Access
Study the full Mat + Reformer classical repertoire and complete anatomy coursework. Select access to FBOMB Workshops and more in your Somaphyx Dashboard.
Seminar Series
Join us for 24 hours across 3 weekends of hands-on instruction in repertoire refinement, cueing, props, and class design. In-studio for full certification or join online as the Intensive.
Pillar Hours and Test
Complete your observation, practice, and teaching hours at your own pace at Pilates 804 or affiliate studio. Test within 12 months and earn your full certificate.
Curriculum Access
Access granted at enrollment and extends 2 weeks after final seminar

24 Hours of In-Person Faculty-Led Training
Held across three weekends at Pilates 804: 10am-2pm on Saturday and Sunday
Hands-on support and faculty mentorship in every session
Train classical pilates on traditional equipment.
Studio Pillar Hours and Testing
You’ll have up to 12 months from your enrollment date to complete your certification.

- 125 Practice Teaching
- Benchmark Test consisting of a written, demonstration video submission and live teaching practical.

Curriculum + Seminar Series / INTENSIVE
- Includes full and immediate access to the Somaphyx Repertoire, faculty-led seminars, A&K + Movement Fundamentals, Total Matness and select Fbomb Workshops.
- Pay in Full: $2,525
- Payment Plan: 3 monthly payments of $860
Studio Pillar Hours
Complete studio pillar hours at Pilates 804 for a monthly fee of $295. Includes hours for observation, personal practice and reserved equipment for practice teaching. Extended access to the Curriculum also included.
Benchmark Testing
- Assessment fees are separate and required for certification:
- Written Exam - $100
- Demonstration Submission - $200
- Teaching Practical - $200
